Add time and materials billing information

After you select a type of progress billing for a sales order, quotation, or multi-release item, you must decide when to bill the customer for the time spent and materials used for a job based on a specific date.

You must complete this task before you can change the status to Open.

To add time and materials billing information

  1. Open the quotation or sales order.

  2. Click the Items tab.

  3. In the Item Number column, click the required item number to open the item.

    The Item Details page appears.

  4. If it is a multi-release item, select the Multi-Release checkbox.

    The Sales Order Releases is available.

  5. On the Toolbar, click Save.

  6. Go to the Sales Orders page.

  7. Click the ellipsis under the Action column.

  8. Select Grid Actions > Sales Order Releases.

    The Sales Order Releases (SORELS) page appears.

  9. On the child toolbar, click New.

    The Release Details page appears.

  10. Click the Part Number lookup reference.

    The Lookup For Part Number window appears.

  11. Select the row that contains the required part number, and click Select.

    Or double-click the row that contains the required part number.

    Click Cancel to exit from the Lookup For Part Number window.

    Ensure that the selected part is a Make part.

    Clear the Multi-Release checkbox.

  12. In the Progress Billing Type list, select Time and Materials.

  13. On the Toolbar, click Save to keep the changes.

    The Progress Billing Detail gets enabled.

  14. Click the ellipsis under the Action column.

  15. Select Grid Accessories > Grid Actions > Progress Billing Detail.

    The Progress Billing Detail (PBDTL) window appears.

  16. On the child toolbar, click New.

  17. Define the invoice cost:

  1. In the Date box, enter the date on which to bill the customer.

    Or

    Click the Calendar icon to display the Calendar. Select the required date.

  2. On the Toolbar, click Save to keep the changes.

    Or click Cancel to discard the changes.

  3. Click Close at the top-right corner of the Progress Billing Detail (PBDTL) window.
