Issue multi-dimensional items to job order

When you issue a part to a job, you can enter dimensions as well as quantities. Unless you issue a whole unit of the part, you must enter dimensions for the part. You can also track multi-dimensional parts you issue to a job.

Before you issue a multi-dimensional item, you must first record the part’s dimensions. See the Related Information.

To issue multi-dimensional items to job order

  1. Open the Issues to Job Orders (JOISS) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Inventory > Issues to Job Orders.

    Or

    1. Search for JOISS or Issues to Job Orders in the Navigation box and then select Issues to Job Orders.

    Issues to Job Orders (JOISS) page appears.

  2. Prepare to issue the items:

    1. On the toolbar, click Browse.

      The Browse For Issues to Job Orders window appears.

    2. Select the required row and click Select. Or double-click the job order to use.

      Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Issues to Job Orders window.

      The Items and Lot Control Issues to Jobs appear as tabs in Issues to Job Orders (JOISS) page.

    3. Make the necessary changes.

  3. In the Quantity Issued box, enter in the number of pieces to issue.

  4. On the toolbar, click Save. The changes are saved.
