Add job order

A job order authorizes and outlines the production of an item. You can add a job order at any time.

To add job order

1. [Add a job order from scratch]((add-a-job-order-from-scratch.md).

   Or base a job order on a sales order, a previous job order, or a job order template.

2. Set information about the job order.

   You can also create job order templates using the same steps.
