Change or remove job order

A job order authorizes and outlines the production of an item. You can change information in a job order at any time and you can remove a job order in Started status.

To change or remove job order

  1. Open the Job Orders (JO) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Shop Floor > Job Orders.

    Or

    1. Search for JO or Job Orders in the Navigation box and then select Job Orders.

    The Job Orders (JO) page appears.

  2. On the toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Job Orders window appears.

  3. Select the row that contains the required job order and click Select. Or double-click the job order to use.

    Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Job Orders window.

  4. To change a job order:

    1. Make your changes.
  5. Click Save.

  6. To remove a job order:

    1. Click Delete on the Toolbar.

      A message Preparing to Delete entire JOB. Deleting this Job will delete all Description, Bill of Material, Routing and Pricing Data, and any Started Sub-Jobs that may exist! Are you sure? appears.

    2. Click OK to delete.

      Or click Cancel to retain the value.
