Add job order for item production
A job order authorizes and outlines the production of an item. Before you add a job order, choose the options for the type of job order to add. You can add a job order from a sales order, a previous job order, a job template or an inter-facility demand order.
These instructions also let you add a job order template.
Only Open line items must be available to create Job Order (JO).
To add a job order based on a sales order, previous job order, a job template, or an inter-facility demand order

Open the Job Orders (JO) page.
- Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Shop Floor > Job Orders.
Or
- Search for JO or Job Orders in the Navigation box and then select Job Orders.
The Job Orders (JO) page appears.

On the toolbar, click Copy.

Select to create a customer, internal, or job order template.
To add an Internal job order to produce inventory that you will move to inventory upon completion, select Stock from the list.
To add an Internal job order for internal jobs such as machine repair, select Internal Use from the list.

For the kind of job order you chose, decide what information you want to carry into the job order.

For non standard line items,
a. Enter the Sales Order Number from the Sales Orders (SO) page.
b. Select the NS line item.
c. Click OK, then click Save.
