Issue lot-controlled items to job order

Lot control is the process of tracking parts and assemblies through the production process. You can track individual lots of items you issue to a job order. If you have not assign lot numbers to all the parts or assemblies in the job order, you can assign them lot numbers when you issue the items.

Issue parts and assemblies to a job

To issue lot-controlled items to job order

  1. Open the Issues to Job Orders (JOISS) page.

    • Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Inventory > Issues to Job Orders.

      Or

    • Search for JOISS or Issues to Job Orders in the Navigation box and then select Issues to Job Orders.

      The Issues to Job Orders (JOISS) page appears.

  2. Select the Lot Controlled Items to issue

    • On the toolbar, click Browse.

      The Browse For Issues to Job Orders window appears.

    • Select a required row and click Select. Or double-click the job order.

      The Items and the Lot appear as grids in the Issues to Job Orders (JOISS) page.

  3. Make the necessary changes.

    • In the Items grid, select the lot controlled item to issue.

    • In the Lot grid, click the Quantity On Hand box and enter the amount.

  4. On the toolbar, click Save. The lot-controlled items are issued.
