Cancel job order

When a customer cancels their order, cancel the job order to remove it from the schedule and from materials planning. You can cancel a job order when it is in released or on hold status.

To cancel job order

  1. Open the Job Orders (JO) page.

    • Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Shop Floor > Job Orders.

      Or

    • Search for JO or Job Orders in the Navigation box and then select Job Orders.

    The Job Orders (JO) page appears.

  2. On the toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Job Orders window appears.

  3. Select the row that contains the required job order, and click Select.

    Or double-click the row.

  4. Click Status.

    The Job Orders Change Status window appears.

  5. In the Status dropdown, select Cancelled.

  6. Set the date, identify yourself, and enter any comments:

    • Enter a date in the Job Status Changed Date box, to cancel the job order at a future date.

      Or click the Calendar icon to display the Calendar. Select the required date.

    1. By default, your initials appear in the by box. Enter the required initials in the by box to change them.

    2. In the Comment box, enter the required comments.

  7. Click OK.
