Add or remove month in work center's calendar

The work center calendar shows a particular work center’s shifts and working hours. For scheduling, the working time in the work center calendar overrides the working time in the production calendar. You can add a month to a work center’s calendar at any time. You can remove past months so the schedule generates faster.

After you add a month, set shifts for the work center in that month. See the related information.

If your company has multiple production facilities, change the work center’s calendar for each facility.

To add or remove month in work center’s calendar

  1. Open the Work Center Production Calendar (WCAL) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Master Data > Work Center Production Calendar.

    Or

    1. Search for WCAL or Work Center Production Calendar in the Navigation box and then select Work Center Production Calendar.

    Work Center Production Calendar (WCAL) page appears.

  2. Select the month to remove or after which to add a month:

    1. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

      The Browse For Work Center Production Calendar window appears.

    2. Select the row that contains the required work center, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the required work center.

      Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Work Center Production Calendar window.

  3. To add a month after the month the window shows:

    1. On the child toolbar, click New.

      • Click Next Month or Previous Month to select the required month.

      • In the center of the grid, click the month and year shown in the <Month YYYY> format.

        A calendar appears that shows months and years in two columns.

      1. Click the right or left arrow in the column that shows years, to show the years not seen in the column.

      2. Click the required month and year in the respective columns.

      3. Click OK.

    2. On the Toolbar, click Save to keep the month.

      Or, click Cancel to discard the changes.

  4. To remove the month:

    1. In the grid, select the row that contains the required year and month.

    2. Under the Action column, click the Delete icon.

      A message, Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure? appears.

    3. Click OK to delete the month.

      Click Cancel to retain the month.
