Set shifts in a work center's calendar

The work center calendar shows the working hours of a specific work center. For scheduling, the working time in the work center calendar overrides the working time in the production calendar. You can set shifts for a work center at any time. You set shifts for each day.

Before you can set a work center’s shifts for a month, add the month. To set shift lengths and start and end times, set production capacity.

If your company has multiple production facilities, set the shifts in a work center’s calendar for each facility.

To set shifts in a work center’s calendar

  1. Open the Work Center Production Calendar (WCAL) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Master Data > Work Center Production Calendar.

      Or

    2. Search for WCAL or Work Center Production Calendar in the Navigation box and then select Work Center Production Calendar.

      Work Center Production Calendar (WCAL) page appears.

  2. Select the work center and month:

    1. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

      The Browse For Work Center Production Calendar window appears.

    2. Select the row that contains the required work center, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the required work center.

      Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Work Center Production Calendar window.

  3. To add shifts for each day:

    1. Click the date on the calendar for which you want to set shifts.

    2. In the No of Shifts field, type or select the number of shifts to operate.

  4. On the Toolbar, click Save to keep the shifts.
