Release several job orders to production floor

After you release a job order, you can post labor and issue stock to the job. You can release several job orders at once.

To release several job orders to the production floor

1. Open the Job Order Release (JORELS) page.

   1. Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Shop Floor > Job Order Release.

      Or

   2. Search for JORELS or Job Order Release in the Navigation box and then select Job Order Release.

      The Job Order Release (JORELS) page appears.

2. Select job orders:

   • Select the check box beside the column header in the Select column, to select all the job orders.

   • Select the check box(es) in the Select column that correspond to a job number to select specific job orders.

     To deselect a job order, clear the corresponding check box in the Select column.

3. To see the material status for a job order:

   1. In the grid, select the row that contains the job order.

   2. Under the Action column, click the ellipsis.

   3. Select Grid Related > Material Status.

      The Job Order Status/Cost (JOSTAT) page appears in a new tab of the browser.

   4. Examine the information.

   5. Close the tab, and return to the Job Order Release page.

4. Set options for the job order release(s):

   1. Select the Print Floor Travelers For All Selected Jobs check box, to print a production floor traveler for all selected jobs.

   2. Select the Print Pick Lists For All Selected Jobs check box, to print a pick list for all selected jobs.

5. To release the jobs, on the child toolbar click Release Selected Jobs.

   A message, Preparing to release all selected jobs. Proceed? appears.

6. Click Yes to release the jobs.

   Click No to retain the jobs.
