Place a job order on hold
You can place a job order on hold when you do not have the materials to complete the job or when a customer asks you to wait to begin production.
You can place a job order on hold only when it is released.
To place a job order on hold

Open the Job Orders (JO) page.

Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Shop Floor > Job Orders.
Or

Search for JO or Job Orders in the Navigation box and then select Job Orders.
The Job Orders (JO) page appears.

On the Toolbar, click Browse.
The Browse For Job Orders window appears.

Select the row that contains the required job order, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the required job order.
Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Job Orders window.

Click the Status button.
The Job Orders Change Status window appears.

Click the Status button, and select On Hold.

Set the date, identify yourself, and add any comments:

In the Job Status Changed Date box, type a date if today is not the date you want to put the job order on hold.
Or, click the icon at the end of the Job Status Changed Date box to display the calendar. Select the required date.

By default, the initials appear in the by box. If you want to change the initials, then type them in the by box.

In the Comment box, type any additional comments.

Click OK.
Click Cancel to exit from the Job Orders Change Status window.
