Change or remove warranty information for a machine

You can change or remove warranty information for a machine provided there are no open service orders that are using that warranty and the warranty status is not active.

To change or remove warranty information for a machine

  1. Open the Machine (MACHSER) page.

    1. Select Customer Relationship Management > Master Data > Field Service > Machine.

      Or

    2. Search for MACHSER or Machine in the Navigation box and then select Machine.
      The Machine (MACHSER) page appears.

  2. On the Toolbar, click More Actions.

  3. Select More Actions > Actions > Machine Warranty.

    The Machine / Component Warranty (FSWAR) screen opens.

  4. Select the machine:

    1. On the Toolbar, click Browse.
      The Browse For Machine window appears.

    2. Highlight a row and click Select or double-click the machine whose warranty information you want to change or remove.

  5. To change warranty information for a machine:

    1. Make your changes.
    2. Click Save on the Toolbar.
  6. To remove warranty information for a machine:

    1. Click Delete on the Toolbar.

      A message, Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure? appears.

    2. Click OK to confirm removal. Click Cancel to retain the value.
