Define labor types

Labor types allow you to predefine costs and factors associated with labor a technician or representative performs. You can also import information you have already set in the Earnings Codes (ECODES) window.

  1. Open the Field Service Labor types (FSCODES) page.

    1. Select Customer Relationship Management > Master Data > Field Service > Field Service Labor types.

    Or

    1. Search for FSCODES in the Navigation box and then select Field Service Labor types.

    The Field Service Labor types (FSCODES) page appears.

  2. On the Toolbar, click Import M2M ECODES to use the same labor types and earnings codes set in the Made2Manage ECODES window.

  3. Click New. A new labor type is added.

    Or click Copy to base a new labor type on the one the window shows.

  4. In the Code box, enter a number for this labor type.

  5. In the Description box, enter a description of the labor type.

  6. In the Billable Factor box, enter the factor by which to multiply labor expense charged to the customer for this labor type. Or click the Calculator icon to display the Calculator. Select an appropriate value.

  7. In the Cost Factor box, enter the factor by which to multiply labor expense charged to the general ledger for this labor type. Or click the Calculator icon to display the Calculator. Select an appropriate value.
