Change or remove warranty information for a machine component

You can change or remove warranty information for a machine component provided there are no open service orders that are using that warranty and the warranty status is not active.

To change or remove warranty information for a machine component

  1. Open the Machine(MACHSER) page.

    • Select Customer Relationship Management > Master Data > Field Service > Machine.

    Or

    • Search for MACHSER or Machine in the Navigation box and then select Machine.

    THe Machine(MACHSER) page appears.

  2. Click the Machine History tab.

  3. In the list of parts, click the component whose warranty you want to change or remove.

  4. On the Toolbar, click More Actions.

  5. Select More Actions > Actions > Machine Warranty.

    The Machine / Component Warranty (FSWAR) screen opens.

  6. To change warranty information for the component:

    You cannot modify a machine warranty that is in Active status. You cannot change the warranty status from Active to any other status if there are open service orders that are using that warranty.

    1. Make your changes.

    2. Click Save on the Toolbar.

  7. To remove warranty information for the component:

    1. Click Delete on the Toolbar.

      A message, Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure? appears.

    2. Click OK to confirm removal.

      Click Cancel to retain the value.
