Record actions you take on a service order

You can record each action you take on a service order. Use the Service Order Actions Taken window.

To record actions you take on a service order

  1. Open the Field Service Control (FSORD) page.

    1. Select Customer Relationship Management > CRM Transactions > Field Service> Field Service Control.

      Or

    2. Search for FSORD or Field Service Control in the Navigation box and then select Field Service Control.
      The Field Service Control (FSORD) page appears.

  2. On the Toolbar, click More Actions.

  3. Select More Actions > Actions > Service Order Actions Taken.
    The Service Order Actions Taken (FSACT) window appears.

  4. Click Copy on the child toolbar.

  5. Click the Service Rep / Technician lookup reference.
    The Lookup For Service Rep / Technician window appears.

  6. Highlight a row and click Select.

    Or double-click the technician reporting this action.

    Click Cancel to exit from Lookup For Service Rep / Technician window.

  7. Type the date the technician documented the action taken in the Date of Action box.

    Or click arrow at the end of the Date of Action field to display a Calendar. Select a desired date.

  8. Add notes in any of the three following areas:

    • Action Taken

    • Results Achieved

    • Next Steps

  9. Click Save on the Child Toolbar.

After you record actions you take on the service order, you can record the time spent working on the service order.
