Enhancements
Connect — Redesigned Emails Tab
The Emails tab in Support Cases has been redesigned with a paginated card layout. Each email is displayed as a collapsible card showing sender, subject, date, and a preview of the body. Cards can be expanded to reveal the full email thread, quoted reply content, and inline attachments, improving readability for cases with long email histories.
- Paginated card list — Emails shown as collapsible cards with clean header information.
- Collapsible quoted threads — Quoted reply chains are collapsed by default and can be expanded inline.
- Attachment display — Email attachments are visible and accessible directly within each card.
Connect — PDF & Image Preview Overlays
Users can now preview PDF and image attachments directly within AppCentral. Other file formats remain available for download only.
- Attachments Tab — PDF & Image Preview — Click a PDF or image file name in the Attachments tab to open an in-app preview overlay. Other file types show a download option only.
- Emails Tab — Image Enlarge — Click any image displayed in the Emails tab to enlarge it in a preview overlay for a clearer view.
- Activity Post & Comment — Image Paste & Preview — Paste images directly from the clipboard into the Activity Post & Comment text box, and preview posted images inline. Non-image files are available for download only.
Connect — Activity Post & Comment Multi-File Attachment
Users can now attach multiple files at once when posting or commenting in the Activity tab of a support case, eliminating the need to create separate posts for each attachment. (CXT Requested)
Connect — Create New Case Usability Improvements
All dropdowns in the Create New Case popup are now sorted alphabetically and include a search capability, enabling users to quickly locate the correct value in any field without scrolling through long unsorted lists.
Connect — Case Header Fields in Fullscreen Mode
The case number, subject, severity, status, and created date are now visible at the top of the Fullscreen case view, giving users immediate case context without having to navigate back to the list view.
Connect — Display Responsible Party Field in Support Cases
The Responsible Party field from Salesforce is now displayed in the support case view, giving customers clear visibility into who is responsible for resolving their case.
Connect — Case Creation and Download Restrictions per User
AppCentral now enforces per-user access restrictions based on Salesforce Contact settings:
- Prohibit Creating Cases — Users with the “Prohibit Creating Cases” flag set in Salesforce will not be able to create new support cases in Connect.
- Prohibit Downloads — Users with the “Prohibit Downloads” flag set will not be able to download attachments from the Connect Downloads tab.
Performance
Projects — Performance Improvements
Projects delivers significant performance improvements in this release, reducing load times for customers working with large project datasets.
- Salesforce query optimization — General Salesforce query enhancements applied to Projects and Connect to reduce query load and improve response times.
- Backend pagination for Tasks, Issues, and Files — The Project Detail page now loads only the first 25 rows of Tasks, Issues, and Files on initial load, fetching additional pages on demand. This significantly improves page load performance for projects with large datasets.
- Gantt tab performance — Reduced the number of redundant requests fired when opening the Gantt tab, eliminating unnecessary cancelled requests and improving Gantt tab load performance.
