What's New in AppCentral 26.04.01
With this release, AppCentral introduces the Projects section, Connect enhancements, Subscription page improvements, compliance updates, security fixes, and performance improvements.
New Feature
Customer Project Access
A new Projects section is available in the left navigation of the AppCentral portal. Customers can view their Certinia PSE projects, including a searchable and filterable project list with RAG status, percentage complete, and stage indicators.
Clicking a project row opens a fullscreen detail view with seven tabs: Project Details, Project Tasks, Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions, and Files. A Post feed panel on the right side of the screen allows users to post updates, comment, and like posts without leaving the project view.
Access is permission-gated and scoped to the authenticated customer’s organisation. Users on Full Hold or Services Hold see an access message in place of project content.
The Projects section is localized in English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Terms of Use and Privacy Policy Acceptance
AppCentral requires customer admin users to accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy before accessing the portal. New admin users are prompted on first login. Existing admin users who have not yet accepted are prompted on their next login. Acceptance is recorded for compliance purposes.
Enhancement
Connect Improvements
@ Mention in Support Case Activity
Users can type @ in the Support Case Activity section to mention contacts from the AppCentral user group when posting a comment.
Escalate Case and Request to Close in Full Screen Mode
The Escalate Case button, Request to Close button, and Status field are now available in Support Case full screen mode, matching the actions available in the Details panel.
AI Agents Added to Case Type
AI Agents has been added to the Type dropdown when creating or filtering support cases.
Additional I Need Help With Options
Agent Central, Intelligence Studio, Intelligent Workflow, GenAI Query, and Insights have been added to the I Need Help With field in support case creation.
Persist User Preferences in Support Case List View
Column size, visibility, sorting, and filtering preferences in the Support Case list view are saved and persist after page refresh or re-login.
Reset to Default in Column Options
A Reset to Default button has been added to the Column Options panel in the Support Case list view. Clicking it prompts a confirmation before restoring all column settings to their default state.
Remove Account Name from KB Article, Documentation, and Training Pages
The Account Name field has been removed from the Knowledge Base, Documentation, and Training pages.
Access Management Improvements
Phone Number Field for Users
A Phone Number field has been added to the Add New User and Edit User forms in Access Management. The field is optional and accepts international formats. Phone numbers are synced to Customer Registry and the corresponding Salesforce Contact record on save.
All Apps Page Improvements
Product Name Display on App Tiles
App tiles on the All Apps page display up to two lines of the product name. Longer names are truncated with an ellipsis, with the full name shown on hover.
Recommended Section Visual Treatment
The Recommended section on the All Apps page has a new visual treatment including a dedicated background colour, brand-colour divider, left-aligned recommendation icon, and a distinct section title colour. The orange Recommended pill badge has been removed from individual tiles.
Dual-Action Icon for Open Portal and Create Company
A new icon is displayed on eligible app cards for users with both Open Portal and Create Company permissions. Clicking the icon opens an internal AppCentral page with both actions available. The Open button on the app card navigates to the portal only.
My Workspaces Improvements
Workspace Card Description and Learn More
Each workspace card displays a description sourced from the Product description in Customer Registry. Descriptions longer than one line are truncated with an ellipsis and shown in full on hover. A Learn More button has been added to each card, with content managed through the Admin Portal. Each card is automatically assigned a distinct colour and icon based on the workspace.
Release Popup Improvements
The release popup window dimensions have been updated for improved readability. Navigation arrows no longer appear when only one content page is available.
Subscription Page Improvements
The Subscription page supports account filtering for users with multi-account access. The default account is displayed first.
Security
Package dependency versions have been pinned to explicit versions across AppCentral, preventing unintended or malicious updates from affecting builds.
Performance
Icon loading has been improved across AppCentral, preventing fallback text from appearing under slow network conditions.
Support Case page loading, new case creation, and multi-account performance have been improved.
