Check for a part's preferred vendor

To find a vendor that consistently provides the best price, quality, and service, check the Item Master to identify the preferred vendor for a part.

To check for a part’s preferred vendor

  1. Open the Item Master (INV) page.

    • Select Production Management > Master Data > Item Master.

      Or

    • Search for INV or Item Master in the Navigation box and then select Item Master.

      The Item Master (INV) page appears.

  2. Select the item:

    1. Click Browse on the Toolbar.

      The Browse For Item Master window appears.

    2. Select a row and click Select. Or, double-click the part to select.

  3. Click the Vendors tab.

  4. Review the vendor information for the part. The Priority column lists each vendor’s priority.
