Change the status of a master engineering change order
A master Engineering Change Order (ECO) can have any one of the following statuses:
- Started: When the Master ECO is created or when you decide to restart the Master ECO.
- Awaiting Approval: When all the assigned approvers have not approved/rejected the Master ECO.
- Approved: When one of the designated approvers approves the Master ECO.
- Cancelled: When the Master ECO is cancelled.
- On-Hold: When the Master ECO changes have been placed on hold.
- Partially Complete: When some of the changes specified in the Master ECO have been completed.
- Completed: When all the changes specified in the Master ECO have been completed.
To change the status of a master engineering change order

Open the Master ECO Summary (ECOMAST) page.

Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Quality > Engineering Change Management > Master ECO Summary.
Or

Search for ECOMAST or Master ECO Summary in the Navigation box and then select Master ECO Summary.
The Master ECO Summary (ECOMAST) page appears.

On the Toolbar, click Browse.
The Browse For Master ECO Summary window appears.

Select the row that contains the required Master ECO, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the required Master ECO.

In the Status list, select the new status.
The Master ECO Summary Change Status window appears.
You can change the status to Started only for a Master ECO with a Cancelled status. If you change the status to Started, all prior approvals are removed.

In the Remarks field enter your comments, and click OK.
If you have not added any approvers in the Approval Maintenance List (ECOAPP) page, a warning message, No Approvers Defined. Please add and designate Approvers using ECOAPP appears and the Master ECO is not saved.
If you have added approvers and designated them in the Approval Maintenance List (ECOAPP) page, a label Approval Complete with a cleared check box appears next to the ECO No field.
