Change or remove an engineering change order

An Engineering Change Order (ECO) records information about engineering changes you want to manage. You can change or remove an ECO if you are the ECO’s author or if you have author override permissions.

Made2Manage does not notify customer, vendors, or other Made2Manage users when you remove an ECO.

Your system administrator may be the only person who can set permissions.

To change an engineering change order

1. Open the ECO.

2. Make the required changes in the ECO Summary (ECOSUM) page.

3. On the Toolbar, click Save to save the changes.

To remove an engineering change order

Note: You can remove an ECO only if it is in the Started status.

1. Open the ECO.

2. On the Toolbar, click Delete.

   A message, Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure? appears.

3. Click OK to confirm.

To open the ECO

1. Open the ECO Summary (ECOSUM) page.

   1. Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Quality > Engineering Change Management > ECO Summary.

      Or

   2. Search for ECOSUM or ECO Summary in the Navigation box and then select ECO Summary.
      The ECO Summary (ECOSUM) page appears.

2. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

   The Browse For ECO Summary window appears.

3. Select the ECO to use:

   » Select the required row, and click Select.

   » Or, double-click the required row.
