Add sales tax authority codes to a jurisdiction

After you create sales tax codes, you can group selected sales tax codes into tax jurisdictions. You can add sales tax codes to an existing jurisdiction at any time.

To add sales tax codes for a jurisdiction

  1. Select the jurisdiction.

  2. On the grid toolbar, click Copy > Add Tax Codes to Jurisdiction. The Copying Add Tax Codes to Jurisdiction window is displayed.

  3. Highlight the sales tax codes row and click Select.

    The Next button is enabled only if there are multiple sales tax code entries.

    Click Tax Code check box to select all the rows at the same time. The selected entries are populated in the Jurisdiction screen.

    Each code can have several effective dates. Made2Manage shows the code with the most current effective date.

  4. Rearrange the tax codes, if necessary.

  5. Click Move Up to move the entry one level up.

    1. Click Move Down to move the entry one level down.
  6. Click Save on the Toolbar to save the changes made to the jur- isdiction.

To remove a sales tax code from a jurisdiction

  1. Select the jurisdiction.

  2. Highlight the sales tax code to remove

  3. On the Toolbar, click Delete.

    A message, Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure ? is dis- played.

  4. Click OK to delete.

  5. Click Save to save the changes made to the jurisdiction.

To select the jurisdiction

  1. Open the Jurisdictions (JURIS) page.

  2. Select Utilities > Company Setup > Finance > Jurisdictions.

    Or

    Search for JURIS in the Navigation box and then select Jur- isdictions

    Jurisdictions (JURIS) page appears.

  3. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Jurisdictions window appears.

  4. Highlight a row and click Select. Or, double-click the required jur- isdiction row to select.
