Add a tax jurisdiction

Customers who pay sales tax usually pay more than one sales tax. You can combine these taxes and apply them in a group or jurisdiction. You can add, change, or remove tax jurisdictions.

To add a tax jurisdiction

  1. Open the Jurisdictions (JURIS) page.

  2. Select Utilities > Company Setup > Finance > Jurisdictions.

    Or

    1. Search for JURIS in the Navigation box and then select Jurisdictions. Jurisdictions (JURIS) page appears.
  3. Add the jurisdiction:

    » On the Toolbar, click New to add a new jurisdiction.

    Or

    » Click Copy to base the tax jurisdiction on the existing data dis- played on the screen.

  4. In the Jurisdiction field, type the jurisdiction name.

  5. In the Description field, type a description of the jurisdiction.

  6. On the Toolbar, click Save to save the jurisdiction details.
