Change or remove inventory locations

An inventory location is any large area, such as a warehouse or room, where you store raw material, component parts, or finished goods. Each inventory location can maintain its own material issues and receipts, giving you an accurate summary of inventory levels for each location.

You can further divide an inventory location by assigning items to bins within the location.

To change or remove an inventory location

  1. Open the Inventory Locations (LOCA) page.

    • Select Utilities > Company Setup > Production > Inventory Locations.

    Or

    • Search for LOCA or Inventory Locations in the Navigation box and then select Inventory Locations.

    The Inventory Locations (LOCA) page appears.

  2. Click Browse on the Toolbar.

    The Browse For Inventory Locations window appears.

  3. Highlight a row and click Select. Or double-click the row to select.

    Click Cancel to exit from Browse For Inventory Locations window.

  4. To change the location:

    1. Make your changes.

      If you change the setting in the Non-nettable Location box, a warning, If the ‘Non-nettable Location’ value is changed, Non-nettable Inventory Quantities will be updated upon saving appears. Click X.

    2. Click Save on the Toolbar.

  5. To remove the location:

    1. Click Delete on the Toolbar.

      A message, Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure? appears.

    2. Click OK to delete.

    Click Cancel to retain the changes.
