Associate customer part numbers with your standard parts

You can record and look up the part numbers that customers use to keep your part in their inventory.

To associate customer part numbers with your standard parts

  1. Open the Part Cross Reference (CROS) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Master Data > Part Cross Reference.

    Or

    1. Search for CROS or Part Cross Reference in the Navigation box and then select Part Cross Reference.

      The Part Cross Reference (CROS) page appears.

  2. On the Toolbar, click New.

    Or click Copy to add a cross-reference using the information from the cross-ref- erence displayed.

  3. Click the Reference Type arrow and select Customer from the list. Click on any one of the fields to bring up the related fields.

  4. Click the Customer No lookup reference.

    The Lookup For Customer No window appears.

  5. Select the customer and click Select.

    Or double-click the customer for whom you want to add the cross-reference.

    Click Cancel to exit from this window.

  6. In the Customer Part No box, type the number the customer uses to identify your item in their inventory.

  7. In the Inventory Part No box, type the number you use to identify the item in your inventory.

    Or click the Inventory Part No lookup reference and select the value from the Lookup For Inventory Part No window.

  8. Click Save on the Toolbar.

    Click Cancel to retain the previous values.
