Navigate bill of material

A part’s bill of material contains information about the part and each of its components. You can navigate the levels of a bill of material to view information about each of the items.

To navigate bill of material

  1. Open the Standard BOMs (BOM) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Master Data > Standard BOMs.

    Or

    1. Search for BOM or Standard BOMs in the Navigation box and then select Standard BOMs.

    The Standard BOMs (BOM) page appears.

  2. On the toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Standard BOMs window appears.

  3. Select a row that contains the required bill of material and click Select. Or double-click the bill of material to view.

    Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Standard BOMs window.

    The Component Part No column shows the top level of parts in the bill of material you select.

  4. To view the components that make up a part in the bill of material:

    1. Select the component to view.

    2. On the child toolbar, click Expand All or Collapse All to view the entire tree structure of the components.

      Or

      Click the right arrow in the Level column to expand the component part numbers. Or click the Level dropdown to collapse the component part numbers.
