Make part's revision current

If a part number has several revisions, you can indicate which to use as the current revision, that is, the revision you prefer to use in new records containing the part. However, if you make a revision current, you can still use any other active revisions for that item.

  • You can make a part’s revision the current revision only if the part is in the active status. To make a part active, see the Related Information.
  • You don’t have to have a current revision for a part.

To make part’s revision current

  1. Open the Item Master (INV) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Master Data > Item Master.

    Or

    1. Search for INV or Item Master in the Navigation box and then select Item Master.

    The Item Master (INV) page appears.

  2. On the toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Item Master window appears.

  3. Select a row and click Select. Or double-click the item.

    Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Item Maser window.

  4. Make the necessary changes.

  5. Select the Current Rev checkbox.

  6. On the toolbar, click Save.
