Add, change, or remove images for part

The item master holds information about items you use in the production process. You can add, change, or remove a bitmapped drawing or other images from an item master at any time.

To add or change an image for a part

  1. Open the Item Master (INV) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Master Data > Item Master.

    Or

    1. Search for INV or Item Master in the Navigation box and then select Item Master.

    The Item Master (INV) page appears.

  2. On the toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Item Master window appears.

  3. Select the row that contains the required item, and click Select.

    Or, double-click the row that contains the required item.

  4. Click the Engineering tab.

  5. Upload the image:

    • Using the image area:

      1. Click anywhere in the image area or on the pencil icon at the top-right corner of the area.

        The Open dialog box appears.

      2. In the Open dialog box, browse and select the image file.

      3. Click Open. The image is uploaded.

    • Using the lookup reference to upload shared files:

      1. Click the lookup reference for the CAD image.

        The Browse Shared Files window appears.

      2. Select an image file, and click Select. The image is uploaded.

  6. On the toolbar, click Save.

    To preview your saved image, click the file icon in the top-right corner of the image area.

To remove image for part

  1. Open the Item Master (INV) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Master Data > Item Master.

    Or

    1. Search for INV or Item Master in the Navigation box and then select Item Master.

    The Item Master (INV) page appears.

  2. On the toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Item Master window appears.

  3. Select the row that contains the required item, and click Select.

    Or, double-click the row that contains the required item.

  4. Click the Engineering tab.

  5. In the top-right corner of the image area, click the trash icon. The image for the part is deleted.

  6. On the toolbar, click Save.
