Remove a standard bill of material

At times, your company may stop making a product, sub-contract a part to a vendor, or make a different part in its place. You can remove the bill of material for the old part.

To remove a standard bill of material

1. Open the Standard BOMs (BOM) page.

   • Select Production Management > Master Data > Standard BOMs.

   Or

   • Search for BOM or Standard BOMs in the Navigation box and then select Standard BOMs.

   The Standard BOMs (BOM) page appears.

2. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

   The Browse For Standard BOMs window appears.

3. Select a row, and click Select. Or, double-click the bill of material.

   Click Cancel to exit from the Browse From Standard BOMs window appears.

4. On the Toolbar, click Delete.

   A message, Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure? appears.

   • Click OK to delete.

   • Click Cancel to retain the values.

To remove a standard bill of material using the Bill of Material Builder

1. Open the BOM Builder (BOMBLD) page.

   1. Select Production Management > Master Data > BOM Builder.

   Or

   2. Search for BOMBLD or BOM Builder in the Navigation box and then select BOM Builder.

   BOM Builder (BOMBLD) page appears.

2. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

   The Browse For BOM Builder window appears.

3. Select a row, and click Select. Or, double-click the bill of material.

   Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For BOM Builder window.

4. On the Toolbar, click Delete.

   A message, Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure? appears.

   • Click OK to delete.

   • Click Cancel to retain the values.
