Add a job order from scratch

A job order authorizes and outlines the production of an item. Before you add a job order, select the options for the type of job order to add. You can add a job order from scratch.

These instructions also let you add a job order template.

To add a job order from scratch

  1. Open the Job Orders (JO) page.

    • Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Shop Floor > Job Orders.

    Or

    • Search for JO or Job Orders in the Navigation box and then select Job Orders.

    The Job Orders (JO) page appears.

  2. Click New on the Toolbar.

    The Create New Job Orders window appears.

  3. In the Type of Job Order, select Internal to add an internal job order or Template to add a job order template.

  4. For an Type of Internal Job Order, select the type of internal job to add:

    • To add a job order to produce items for inventory, click the Stock.

    • To add a job order for internal jobs such as machine repair, click the Internal Use.

  5. Click Accept.
