Add items to an RFQ

After you add initial request information to an RFQ, you specify the items for which you need the quotation.

Before you perform this task, first add the RFQ.

You can add items only to an RFQ with theStarted status.

To add items to an RFQ

  1. Open the Request For Quote (RFQ) page.

    • Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Purchasing > Request For Quote.

      Or

    • Search for RFQ or Request For Quote in the Navigation box and then select Request For Quote.

      The Request For Quote (RFQ) page appears.

  2. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse for Request For Quote window is displayed.

  3. Select a row and click Select. Or, double-click the required RFQ.

  4. Click the Items tab.

  5. Add the items:

    • To add a non-production item to an RFQ, see Adding a non-production item.

    • To add items from inventory, see Adding items from inventory.

    • To add items to an RFQ created from a quote, see Adding quote items.

    • To add quote detailed BOM items, see Adding quote detailed BOM items.

    • To add items to an RFQ created from a sales order, see Adding sales order items.

    • To add sales order detailed BOM items to an RFQ created from a sales order, see Adding sales order detailed BOM items.

  6. On the Toolbar, click Save.
