Part Availability [PAVAIL]

You can quickly check information about a part’s availability, such as the quantity on hand, the quantity already committed, and the quantity available.

Non-nettable quantities are not considered available. Therefore, the window’s quantity available field does not include non-nettable quantities.

To generate Part Availability Report

  1. Open the Part Availability (PAVAIL) page.

    • Select Production Management > Master Data >Part Availability.

    Or

    • Search for PAVAIL in the Navigation box and then select Part Availability.

    The Part Availability (PAVAIL) page appears.

  2. Click the Part Number lookup reference.

    The Lookup For Part Number window appears.

  3. Highlight the row and click Select. Or double-click the part number.

    Click Cancel to exit from Lookup For Part Number window.

  4. The Revision number is populated automatically.

  5. In the Quantity Desired box, enter the quantity you need. Or, click the calculator icon at the end of the field to use the calculator and select an appropriate value.

Note: By default, the part availability is displayed in the Inventory U/M. If a part has a Selling U/M different from the Inventory U/M, additional dropdowns appear to select the appropriate Selling U/M and its corresponding Packaging U/M.

  1. Click Get Info on the Toolbar.

    If the part has a bill of material, the first level of component part numbers appears. If a component part has a next level of component parts, a drop-down arrow appears in the Component Part Number column.

  2. To see the next level for a component part, expand the component list by clicking the drop-down arrow.

  3. To print a report of the information appearing on screen:

    1. On the Toolbar, click More Actions.

    2. Select More Actions > Reports > Part Availability.

    The report is displayed in another tab.

  4. To print the report, click the Print icon.
