Enhancement

Extended Import Capabilities in Import Wizard

The Import Wizard now supports importing Item Master (Parent and Vendor) and Standard Routings, which were previously available only through the Data Loader option. This enhancement provides broader access to essential import features without altering existing Data Loader functionality, making it easier for users outside the implementation phase to manage item and routing data efficiently. The new import options ensure a seamless experience while maintaining backward compatibility with existing configurations.

To enhance user experience and maintain design consistency, navigation icons have been repositioned to the right corner of the toolbar across all screens. These icons are now fixed to the right side, ensuring easier access and improved usability when navigating through documents with status-driven workflows.

Improved Usability of QTDBOM and SODBOM Screens

To enhance user efficiency, we have added a new “Add Routing” button to QTDBOM and SODBOM screens, enabling users to directly launch the detail Routing screens (QTDRTG and SODRTG) as pop-ups for the Make components. This enhancement allows Production Planners, Engineers, and Sales Engineers to define or extend routing operations seamlessly within the BOM workflow. The feature ensures contextual access based on item type and user permissions, streamlining the routing definition process and improving efficiency.

Resolved Issues

The following issues have been fixed in this release:

IDDescription
DEV-258511When using the Margin Analyzer (MRGANLZ) screen, after generating a report and attempting to start a new analysis by clicking “New” again, the system times out instead of opening a new tab with a filter selection pop-up.
DEV-174793The INV BROWSE feature does not display quantity and price fields with the correct number of decimal places as specified in the company settings (COMP), instead showing 5 decimals regardless of the COMP setting.
DEV-241696After migrating from version 7.51, labor time entries show a 4-hour offset due to the system assuming database entries are in UTC, impacting users’ data display; however, this is a visual issue only, with no changes to postings, and users can view correct times in the RPLINP report.
DEV-246442When recording a negative “Other Transaction” from Bank Account A to Bank Account B, the corresponding positive transaction does not automatically appear in Bank B’s reconciliation, indicating a logic flaw in handling General Ledger Journal Entries.
DEV-247049The recurring AR invoice (ARINV) fails to recalculate the due date in the accounting summary tab, pulling the original invoice’s due date instead, which results in misleading term messages for customers.
DEV-254709In Made2Manage version 8.03, the CURR screen holds the validation settings for address formats. Despite being set to make the state field non-mandatory for non-US countries like Iceland, the system incorrectly requires an entry in the state field to save a miscellaneous shipping address.
DEV-255558Users were incorrectly allowed to save bank accounts with the same bank id on the Bank Names tab of Accounts Payable setup leading to problems with Bank Reconciliation.
DEV-52639The RPPB report encounters an error “String or binary data would be truncated” when the customer PO number exceeds 10 characters due to a character limit in the stored procedure’s temp table.
DEV-256729The “RMA not Received” widget lacks sufficient filtering options, showing all historical RMAs without the ability to filter by recent dates or status.
DEV-256794Users are unable to manually enter a four-digit end time in the Planning and Scheduling module’s calendar fields, requiring them to edit existing times instead.
DEV-258248The Job Gantt chart was not sorting sub-jobs based on scheduled date and time, resulting in a disorganized display that could impact demo accuracy and user clarity.
DEV-258520The Margin Analyzer was retaining filters from previous sessions and not displaying selected customers correctly, leading to confusion and requiring manual filter resets.
DEV-260404The Part Number Production Analyzer was incorrectly shifting focus to earlier routing operations, making it difficult for users to accurately update job-related data.
DEV-261052Attempting to create an ARINV credit memo from an RMA with multiple items fails with an error message “Unable to create Credit Memo for RMA No xxxxxx,” preventing users from processing multi-item RMAs efficiently.
DEV-261727Receiving transactions in SFDC were incorrectly requiring bin entry even when bin validation was disabled, preventing seamless processing for parts or locations that don’t utilize bins.
DEV-262263Journal entries involving multiple cash accounts could not be added to more than one bank reconciliation, leading to incomplete reconciliation processes.
DEV-262590Navigating back from Job Material Availability in the Supervisor Console was incorrectly redirecting users to the Work Center tab and clearing filters, disrupting work flow continuity.
DEV-262942The Margin Analyzer was exporting all job records instead of only the filtered selections, requiring users to manually clean up the data outside the system.
DEV-263108The API CADLink Setup was missing key fields required by CADLink for standard BOM configurations, leading to manual setup steps that should have been automated by default.
DEV-263237The AZ Sort Order was missing from the Return Material Authorization (RMA) screen.
DEV-266204Users were unable to edit job priorities in the Supervisor Console if a schedule date was assigned, limiting flexibility on the shop floor to adapt to real-time production needs.
DEV-266218The system error message during RMA creation for lot-controlled parts did not identify the specific line item missing lot quantity, making it difficult for users to pinpoint and correct the issue.
DEV-267251In M2M 8.0, the company name displayed in the header does not match the company ID in the URL, leading to confusion as users may unknowingly work in the wrong company. This occurs when switching companies in different tabs and reopening the application without logging out.
DEV-266528When searching for a sub-job number, the system was reverting the input to the parent job number if the field lost focus, causing users to search for incorrect job records.
DEV-267472In Made2Manage version 8.02, there is an issue where the Income Statement Report does not include rows with zero balances, even when the “Rows W/Zero Balances” check box is checked. This differs from the behavior in version 7.51, where all records, including those with zero values, are included. The report should display all rows, including zero values, as it did in the previous version.
DEV-266083When the same buy part is listed multiple times on the JODBOM, when it was received it was doubling the received quantities in Margin Analyzer.
DEV-268133The system is incorrectly showing voided checks and EFT batches as “To be Voided” in Bank Reconciliation even after they have been cleared.
DEV-268708When attempting to add a Non-Standard Item in the Job Order Detailed BOM for a job order with more than 180 JODBOM records, an error message “The value in its field is invalid” appears. This occurs because the Component field remains a look-up instead of switching to a normal field when the “Non-standard item” check box is checked, even if values are populated and saved.
DEV-269044When assigning a new vendor from the PQSUMM summary pane, the detail pane lines with ‘Place Order’ messages do not reflect the updated vendor, causing the PO to be incorrectly created for the original primary vendor, unless the user manually refreshes the browser tab—resulting in confusion and incorrect purchasing decisions.
DEV-267981Users are receiving an error trying to run the Business Analytics Opportunities (BAOPPS) report if the part being pulled into the report contains a single quote in the part number.
DEV-269247The EAFIRE table generates duplicate event records when the same frecno is used across different documents (e.g., SHIP and PO), causing duplicate notifications and incorrect event firing, instead of isolating events by both document type and record number.
DEV-269731When copying an AR Receipt in the CASH screen without selecting a Sales Order, the system no longer allows applying the amount as a prepayment or creating a credit memo, blocking advance payment processing which previously worked in version 7.51.
DEV-270353Users encounter a “system.Data.NoNullAllowedException” error when attempting to post transactions to the General Ledger through Post Transactions to GL (TRTR).
DEV-271353If a lot/SN is assigned to a line on a receiver, users were receiving error when zeroing out the received quantity.
DEV-270815After upgrading from 7.51 to 8.0, Field Service Orders were missing from the Copy/Normal Invoice/Field Service option that should have been visible and available to invoice.
DEV-272073Users cannot print RMAs with Field Service using the RPRMAR report except when selecting ‘RMA for Machine Parts,’ due to filter settings that exclude Field Service RMAs in other report selections.
DEV-272610The EOP Posting Utility fails to generate the order costing report, causing the system to spin without producing output, whereas the report generates successfully in version 7.51 using the same steps.
