Metadata Configuration (APICLIENT and APICONFIG)

By default, the APICLIENT and APICONFIG screens are not displayed in Made2Manage. You must enable the default permissions for these screens in the User Permission Wizard (PERMWIZ) screen.

User Permission Wizard (PERMWIZ) screen

The User Permission Wizard (PERMWIZ) screen enables the configuration of user permissions.

To enable default permission assignment for APICLIENT and APICONFIG screen:

  1. Open the User Permission Wizard (PERMWIZ) page using one of the following methods:

    • On the Menu pane, go to Utilities > Maintenance > User Permission Wizard.
      OR
    • On the Navigation box on the Menu pane, type PERMWIZ, and press ENTER. The User Permission Wizard (PERMWIZ) page appears.

  2. Click the Screens With Default Permissions tab.

  3. Locate the APICLIENT and APICONFIG pages for which you want to enable the default permission assignment.

    Tip: In the blank field under the Mnemonic column, type the screen’s mnemonic or the first few characters of the mnemonic.
    Tip: Click the filter icon in the Default Permission column header and select Unchecked to view the forms and reports for which the default permissions are not enabled.

  4. Select the corresponding Default Permission check box.

  5. On the Toolbar, click:

    • Save: To save the changes and remain in the wizard
    • Save & Continue: To save the changes and move to the next tab of the User Permission Wizard.
    • Cancel: To cancel the changes

Note: After you save the changes, you cannot reset the default permission setting.

When you click Cancel, a message “Cancelling will rollback all changes related to this transaction” is displayed. Click Yes to cancel the changes and return to the Screens With Default Permission tab.
