Change or remove an operation in a standard routing

A routing explains the path a part follows through production and sequentially lists the work centers and operations you use to make the part. As processes change in your company, you can change or remove an operation in a standard routing.

To change or remove an operation in a standard routing

1. Open the Standard Routings (RTG) page.

   1. Select Production Management > Master Data > Standard Routings.

   Or

   2. Search for RTG or Standard Routings in the Navigation box and then select Standard Routings.

   The Standard Routings (RTG) page appears.

2. Select the part whose routing you want to change:

   1.  On the **Toolbar**, click **Browse**. 
   
   The **Browse For Standard Routings** window appears.
   
   2.  Select the row that contains the required part, and click **Select**. Or, double-click the row that contains the required part.
   

3. In the grid, select the operation to change or remove.

4. Perform one of the following:

   » To change the operation:

   1. Make your changes.

   2. On the Toolbar, click Save to keep your changes.

   » To remove the operation:

5. Under the Action column, click the delete icon.

   A message, Are you sure you would like to delete this record? appears.

6. Click OK to confirm. Or, click Cancel to delete the changes.
