Change or remove a standard routing

A routing explains the path a part follows through production and sequentially lists the work centers and operations you use to make the part. As processes change in your company, you can remove all or part of a standard routing.

To change or remove a standard routing

  1. Open the Standard Routings (RTG) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Master Data > Standard Routings.

    Or

    1. Search for RTG or Standard Routings in the Navigation box and then select Standard Routings.

    The Standard Routings (RTG) page appears.

  2. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Standard Routings window appears.

  3. Select the row that contains the required part, and click Select. Or double-click the row that contains the required part.

  4. Perform one of the following:

» To change the routing:

1.  Make your changes.

2.  On the **Toolbar**, click **Save**.

» To remove a routing:

1.  On the **Toolbar**, click **Delete**.

    A message, '*Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure?*' appears.

2.  Click **OK** to confirm. Or click **Cancel** to delete the changes.
