Associate a manufacturer part with a vendor

You can associate a manufacturer part with the vendor you use to purchase the part. You can associate more than one manufacturer with a vendor.

To associate a manufacturer part with a vendor

1. Open the Vendor/Manufacturer Information (VNDMFR) page.

   1. Select Production Management > Master Data > Vendor/Manufacturer Information.

      Or

   2. Search for VNDMFR or Vendor/Manufacturer Information in the Navigation box and then select Vendor/Manufacturer Information. Vendor/Manufacturer Information (VNDMFR) page appears.

2. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

   The Browse For Vendor/Manufacturer Information window appears.

3. Select the row that contains the required item, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the required item.

   Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Vendor/Manufacturer Information window.

4. In the Vendors grid, select the vendor to associate with a manufacturer.

5. In the Manufacturer section, on the child toolbar, click New.

6. Set manufacturer and part information.

   1. Click the Manufacturer lookup reference. The Lookup For Manufacturer window appears.

   2. Select the row that contains the required manufacturer, and click Select.

      Or, double-click the row that contains the required manufacturer. Click Cancel to exit from the Lookup For Manufacturer window.

   3. Click the Part lookup reference.
      The Lookup For Part window appears.

   4. Select the row that contains the required part, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the required part. Click Cancel to exit from the Lookup For Part window.

   5. Select the Preferred check box to mark this vendor and manufacturer as preferred.

7. On the Toolbar, click Save.

   To associate another manufacturer with this vendor, repeat steps 3 - 7.
