Connect overview
Connect is a workspace in Aptean AppCentral where you manage all your support interactions with Aptean. It brings together support cases, change requests, knowledge base articles, documentation, training, downloads, and feedback in one place.
What Connect does
Connect gives you a single location to:
- Submit and track support cases with Aptean.
- Monitor change requests for your subscribed products.
- Access knowledge base articles, product documentation, and training content.
- Download software updates and hotfixes.
- Respond to customer satisfaction surveys.
How Connect works
Connect retrieves your account data from Salesforce. Every tab in Connect displays data associated with your Salesforce account, including Support Cases, Change Requests, KB Articles, Documentation, Training, and Downloads. If Salesforce is not configured for your account, Connect will not load and displays the message: “Salesforce is not configured for this account. This page requires a valid Salesforce account.”
Contact your Aptean administrator if you see this message.
Prerequisites
Before you can use Connect, the following conditions must be met:
- You have an active Aptean AppCentral account.
- Your account is linked to a valid Salesforce account.
- You have been assigned the appropriate role (standard user or admin).
User roles in Connect
Your role determines what you can see and do in Connect.
| Role | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Standard user | View and manage cases you submitted. Access KB articles, documentation, training, and downloads for your subscribed products. |
| Admin | View and manage all cases submitted by everyone in your organisation. Access all data visible to standard users. |
Access Connect
- Log in to Aptean AppCentral.
- In the left navigation, select Connect.
Connect opens on the Feed tab by default.
If your account is linked to multiple Salesforce accounts, anAccount dropdown appears in the top-right corner of Connect. Select the account you want to work with before using any tab. All data displayed in Connect reflects the selected account.
Connect tabs
Connect contains the following tabs:

| Feed | Real-time notifications for case updates, announcements, invoices, and surveys. |
| Support Cases | Cases you (or your organisation) have submitted to Aptean. |
| Change Request | Change requests submitted for your subscribed products. |
| KB Articles | Knowledge base articles relevant to your subscribed products. |
| Documentation | End-user documents available for your subscribed products. |
| Training | Training videos and courses for the applications you’re entitled to. |
| Downloads | Software updates, hotfixes, and packages for your subscribed products. |
| Feedback | Pending customer satisfaction surveys (CSAT and NPS). |
