Prepare the general ledger

The general ledger is a complete collection of accounts and their debits and credits. Before you can begin posting to the general ledger, you must set it up.

To set up the general ledger

1. Set accounting years and periods.

2. Set up the general ledger.

3. Add the accounts.

4. You can also check your chart of accounts.
