Change or remove account

You can change information about an account, except for its category and account number. You can remove an account if it has no activity and no sub-accounts.

To change or remove account

  1. Open the Chart of Accounts Maintenance (GLMAST) page.

    1. Select Financial Management > Master Data > Chart of Accounts Maintenance.

    Or

    1. Search for GLMAST in the Navigation box and then select Chart of Accounts Maintenance.

    The Chart of Accounts Maintenance (GLMAST) page appears.

  2. On the toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Chart of Accounts Maintenance window appears.

  3. Select the row that contains the required account, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the required account.

    Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Chart of Accounts Maintenance window.

  4. To change the account:

    1. Make your changes.

    2. On the Toolbar, click Save to keep the changes.

  5. To remove the account:

    1. On the toolbar, click Delete.

      A message, Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure? appears.

    2. Click Yes to delete. Click No to retain.
