Sort and Group Information

You can sort and group information in Shop Floor Manager to make it easy to find what you need.

You can customize a page by changing the position and/or width of the columns, as well as choosing the columns that display.

Option	Description
Sorting Columns	Click Column Header to sort the information. You can sort up to four different columns. To sort columns, you must select the Allow Sorting on Grids field in the Facility Setup tab of the Setup page. The first time you click on a column, the records display in ascending (lowest to highest) order. An opaque upward triangle displays next to the column name to indicate the sort order. To display the records in descending (highest to lowest) order, click on the column heading a second time. An opaque downward triangle displays next to the column name to indicate the sort order. When you close the console, the sort order will return to the default. You can print or export the information prior to closing the console if you want a copy of it in the sorted order.
Grouping Columns	To display the information in Groups Right click on the Column Header which you select to Group By <This Column>. The columns display based on the grouping Column Header filter. The selected column is added to Grouping Columns and the records are displayed as per the columns grouped. Column Groupings are not saved when you close the console.
Ungrouping Columns	To ungroup the grouped columns: 1. Right click Grouped Column which needs to be ungrouped. 2. Select Reset Coulmns. The Grouping will be removed for the column and the records will display in the form prior to when the grouping was applied.
