Create ship back sales order from RMA

You can create a Ship Back Sales Order from an RMA through Copy.

This is designed to be used in Rework and return, Credit and replace and Replace only scenarios. The items do not have to be received before the replacement and/or rework SO being created.

When creating the ship back SO the Customer PO Number on the SO will default to the RMA number with an “R” appended.

You can add new parts to a Ship Back Sales Order when parts are returned for replacement/rework or repair.

To create ship back sales order from RMA

  1. Open the Sales Orders (SO) page.

    a. Select Sales Management > Sales Transactions > Sales Orders.

    Or

    b. Search for SO or Sales Orders in the Navigation box and then select Sales Orders.

    The Sales Orders (SO) page appears.

  2. On the Toolbar, click ** Copy** and select RMA.

    The Copying RMA window appears. This helps to create a new sales order.

    You cannot create a sales order for Credit only or Pending Disposition RMA.

  3. Select the required row and click Select.

    If there are multiple RMAs created within an RMA, then click Next. Select an RMA and click Select.

    A message, Do you want to update the copied Item(s) and Component(s) with the latest estimated costs from the Item Master? appears.

  4. Click Yes to update costs.

    Click No to retain existing costs.

  5. Make any necessary changes to the sales order’s items.

  6. On the Toolbar, click Save to keep your changes.

    Or click Cancel to discard your changes.
