Turn global change control on or off

You can select whether to control changes you make to item masters, job orders, sales orders, standard bills of material, and standard routings. You may want to turn off Engineering Change Management (ECM) control while you make many changes to several records, then turn it on when you finish.

To turn change control on or off

1. Open the Production (CSPROD) page.

   1. Select Utilities > Company Setup > Module Setup > Production.

   Or

   2. Search for CSPROD or Production in the Navigation box and then select Production.

   The Production (CSPROD) page appears.

2. Click the ECM tab.

3. Enable or disable ECM:

   • Select the ECM Control On/Off checkbox to turn on Engineering Change Management control for standard items in the item master, for sales orders, and for make-to-order and make-to-stock job orders.

   • Clear the ECM Control On/Off checkbox to turn off Engineering Change Management control for standard items in the item master, for sales orders, and for make-to-order and make-to-stock job orders.

4. On the toolbar, click Save. The ECM control changes are saved.
