View a job order's CAD drawing

A job order authorizes and outlines the production of an item. You can view a CAD drawing for a part within its job order.

To be able to view CAD drawings in Made2Manage, you must have a CAD viewer installed. Made2Manage works best with AutoDesk Viewer 2.0 and above.

To attach and view a job order’s CAD drawing

  1. Open the Job Orders (JO) page.

    • Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Shop Floor > Job Orders.

    Or

    • Search for JO or Job Orders in the Navigation box and then select Job Orders.

      The Job Orders (JO) page appears.

  2. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Job Orders window appears.

  3. Select a row and click Select, Or double-click the job order to use.

  4. Click the CAD Images tab.

    The CAD Images area has three fields in which you can attach three CAD files to the Job Order.

  5. In the CAD Images area, click the:

    1. Select lookup reference button at the end of the fields provided to attach the CAD image files.

    2. Specify the Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path instead of the mapped drive while selecting the CAD files. This will enable other users to view the CAD files. It is recommended that the CAD drawing be added from a network path that is accessible from any connected Made2Manage workstation.

    3. Open File button at the beginning of the fields to view the CAD image.

  6. On the Toolbar, click Save.
