Scrap inventory items
When you scrap items from inventory, you must record an inventory transaction.
To scrap inventory items

Open the Inventory Transactions (INVTR) page.
- Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Inventory > Inventory Transactions.
Or
- Search for INVTR or Inventory Transactions in the Navigation box and then select Inventory Transactions.
Inventory Transactions (INVTR) page appears.

On the Toolbar, click New.
Or if the transaction on the page is for scrapping parts, you can base your transaction on it. On the Toolbar, click Copy.

If you are creating a new transaction, the Create New Inventory Transactions window appears. In the Transaction Type area, click Scrap.

Click Accept.
Click Cancel to exit from the Create New Inventory Transactions window.

Specify transaction details:

In the Facility list, select the facility.

Click the Part NumberLookup Reference.
The Lookup For Part Number window appears.

Select the row that contains the required part, and click Select. Or double-click the row that contains the required part.
Click Cancel to exit from the Lookup For Part Number window.

In the Scrap Quantity box, type the value of the scrap quantity.
Or click the icon at the end of the Scrap Quantity box to display the calculator. Enter the required value.

If the date in the Date box is not the correct scrap date, change it.
Or click the icon at the end of the Date box to display a calendar. Select the required date.

In Comment box, type any comments.

Click the Location Lookup Reference.
The Lookup For Location window appears.

Select the row that contains the part’s location, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the part’s location.
Click Cancel to exit from the Lookup For Location window.

In the Bin box, type the part’s bin number if you have bins set up in Made2Manage.
Or click the Bin Lookup Reference.
The Lookup For Bin window appears.

Select the row that contains the required bin, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the required bin.
Click Cancel to exit from the Lookup For Bin window.

Click the GL Account Lookup Reference.
The Lookup For GL Account window appears.

Select the row that contains the required account to adjust, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the required account to adjust.
Click Cancel to exit from the Lookup For GL Account window.

Specify the inspection:

In the Inspected By box, type the initials of the part’s inspector.

Click the Inspection Code Lookup Reference.
The Lookup For Inspection Code window appears.

Select the row that contains the required inspection code, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the required inspection code.
Click Cancel to exit from the Lookup For Inspection Code window.

On the Toolbar, click Save to keep the transaction.
Or on the Toolbar, click Cancel to discard the changes.
