Change or remove product classes
A product class represents a group of similar inventory items on financial statements and reports. Product classes help track revenues, costs, and profits. If you have not assigned a product class to any parts, you can change or remove it.
You cannot change or remove a product class if it is assigned to a part.
To change or remove a product class
- Open the Product Classes (PRCL) page.

Select Utilities > Company Setup > System > Product Classes.
Or
- Search for PRCL in the Navigation box and then select Product Classes.
The Product Classes (PRCL) page appears.

Click Browse on the Toolbar.
The Browse For Product Classes window appears.

Select a row and click Select. Or, double-click the product class.
Click Cancel to exit from Browse For Product Classes window.

To change the product class:

Make your changes.

Click Save on the Toolbar.

To remove the product class:

Click Delete on the Toolbar.
A message, ‘Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure?’ appears.

Click OK to continue.
Click Cancel to retain the values.
