Close a job order

Close a job order when you finish the job and have calculated the final costs associated with the work.

To close a job order

  1. Open the Job Orders (JO) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Shop Floor > Job Orders.

      Or

    2. Search for JO or Job Orders in the Navigation box and then select Job Orders.

      The Job Orders (JO) page appears.

  2. Click Browse on the Toolbar.

    The Browse For Job Orders window appears.

  3. Select a row and click Select. Or, double-click the job order to close.

    Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Job Orders window.

  4. Click the Status button.

    The Job Order Change Status window opens.

  5. From the Status drop-down button, select Completed.

  6. Set the date, identify yourself, and type any comments:

    1. If today is not the date to close the job order, type a date in the Job Status Changed Date field. Or, click the icon at the end of Job Status Changed Date field to display the calendar. Select an appropriate date.

    2. Type your initials in the by box.

    3. Type comments in the Comment box.

  7. Click OK.

    If you have not issued or ordered material for a part, Made2Manage shows you which parts need material. Click OK or Cancel to continue.
