Add, change, or remove a quality procedure

You can add your company’s quality procedures (also called standard operating procedures) to Made2Manage. These procedures indicate who maintains information on each Made2Manage page. You can also include test procedures in Made2Manage. This kind of information can help your company become ISO 9000 certified.

To view any quality procedures associated with the page you’re on, click Quality Procedures.

To add, change, or remove a quality procedure

  1. Open the Quality Procedures (QUAL) page.

    a. Select Production Management > Production Transactions > Quality > Quality Procedures.

    Or

    b. Search for QUAL or Quality Procedures in the Navigation box and then select Quality Procedures.

    The Quality Procedures (QUAL) page appears.

  2. To add a quality procedure:

    a. On the Toolbar, click New.

    b. If the Screen ID box is not gray, type the mnemonic of the page this procedure covers. You can add only one procedure for each screen ID.

    Or if the quality procedure is not associated with a page, type a unique identifier.

    Or click the Screen ID Lookup Reference.

    The Lookup For Screen ID window appears.

    c. Select the row that contains the required page, and click Select. Or double-click the row that contains the required page.

    Click Cancel to exit from the Lookup For Screen ID window.

    d. In the Responsible Employee box, type an employee’s name.

    e. If this quality procedure is based on or refers to a procedure in your company’s procedure manual, type something in the Quality Manual Reference box to help the user find the reference.

    f. In the Quality Procedures box, type the procedure.

    If the procedure’s text is available elsewhere on your computer, copy it from the source, click in this box, and press Ctrl+V to paste it here.

    g. In the Date of Effectivity box, type the date the procedure becomes effective.

    Or click the icon at the end of the Date of Effectivity box to display the calendar. Select the required date.

    h. On the Toolbar, click Save to keep the procedure.

  3. To change a procedure:

    a. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Quality Procedures window appears.

    b. Select the row that contains the required page related to the procedure, and click Select. Or, double-click the row that contains the required page related to the procedure.

    Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Quality Procedures window.

    c. Type your changes.

    d. On the Toolbar, click Save to keep the changes.

  4. To remove a procedure:

    a. On the Toolbar, click Browse.

    The Browse For Quality Procedures window appears.

    b. Select the row that contains the required page related to the procedure, and click Select. Or double-click the row that contains the required page related to the procedure.

    Click Cancel to exit from the Browse For Quality Procedures window.

    c. On the Toolbar, click Delete.

    A message, Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure? appears.

    d. Click OK to delete the procedure.

    Click Cancel to retain the procedure. ​
