Lookup a part cross-reference or substitute

You can lookup a part by a cross-reference or substitute number, for instance when you need to find a part and all you know is the customer’s number for it.

To look up a part cross-reference or substitute

  1. Open the Part Cross Reference (CROS) page.

    1. Select Production Management > Master Data > Part Cross Reference.

      Or

    2. Search for CROS or Part Cross Reference in the Navigation box and then select Part Cross Reference.
      The Part Cross Reference (CROS) page appears.

  2. Click Browse on the Toolbar.

    The Browse For Part Cross Reference window appears.

  3. Highlight a row and click Select. Or, double-click the cross-reference. Click Cancel to exit from Browse For Part Cross Reference window.

  4. To change the cross-reference:

    1. Make your change(s). You can not change the Reference Type.
    2. Click Save on the Toolbar to keep your change(s).

To remove a part cross-reference or substitute

  1. To remove the cross-reference:

    1. Click Delete on the Toolbar. A message, Preparing to delete this information. Are you sure? appears.

    2. Click OK to continue.

      Click Cancel to retain the values.
