SMC³ Overview

Aptean Ship uses an SMC³ web service to rate shipments in real-time, utilizing your company’s specific carrier contract details, such as:

• carrier discounts

• minimum charges

• deficit rating

• surcharges

In order to use Aptean Ship with SMC³, you are required to purchase a license through SMC³. If you would like a quote for the SMC³ service and data modules (tariffs), please use the contact information located on their website.

Perform SMC³ setup in the following order:

1. Add your account(s) on the Accounts page.

2. Add contracts on the Contract Details page.

3. Configure Billing Settings.
