What's New in 11.9.2
Features
This release introduces several customer-driven enhancements to improve the functionality and usability of EAM. Key updates include the ability to upload and display images for employees and equipment, similar to Inventory, and the option for privileged users to Undelete Equipment marked as deleted. Additionally, Multiple Purchase Orders (POs) can now be processed under a single invoice, allowing seamless handling of taxes, freight, and credits.
Enhancements to Cycle Count entry now ensure independent and item-specific processing. The ability to upload plant-level logos for printing on Purchase Orders and RFQs provides greater flexibility in branding. A new Import button for Purchase Orders and RFQs Texts allows users to easily import text from their local drive.
Security management has also been enhanced to support mass updates, enabling administrators to efficiently assign users to Security groups or apply group updates in bulk. Other improvements include support for negative quantities in POs, multiple RFQ forwarding, and an option to suppress timezone difference pop-ups for a smoother user experience.
Enhancements
The section provides the information on the enhancements in this release:
ID | Module | Description |
---|---|---|
545906 | Tenant Portal | Tenant Portal - Home Page: A new option has been added which allows the user to pin a favorite database and plant selection for log-in. When pinned, that database and plant combination will be selected by default when the home page is opened. If no favorite is pinned and the user has multiple databases or plants available, the selections made during the last log-in will be set by default. For users with only one database and plant combination, those values will also be set automatically by default. |
Resolved Issues
The issues that were addressed in this release are listed in the following table:
ID | Module | Description |
---|---|---|
228860 | Tenant Portal | Tenant Portal-Manage Users: In user details, the “Licensed Plant” field has been moved from the “Assigned Plants” card to the “User Settings” card. This separation allows the licensing plant to be clearly distinguished from the plants to which a user has been given application access. |
447673 | EAM Mobile | Work Order long description and instructions have been updated to support text colors. |
505639 | Query Wizard | In Table Element Settings, the criticality field of the wo_work_order table has been updated to allow plant level overrides of the Validated property. |
565612 | Work Order | Inspection Reports are no longer added to assets (equipment and serial), as this was causing the same inspection report to appear twice in the work order linked documents - once for the asset, and once for the work order. Inspection Reports for equipment or serial can be viewed via by opening the Inspection Results contextual panel and choosing the View PDF option. |
573411 | Inventory | In the module search screens, a favorite query can be pinned that will subsequently be selected by default when the module search screen opens. This feature has now been extended to pop-up module search screens. For example, the favorite query pinned in the Item Search will be selected by default when the Item Search pop-up is opened by selecting the search icon in an Item field. |
577858 | Invoice | The out of balance error condition will no longer be displayed when saving an invoice voucher line. Following this change, the out of balance error will be displayed only after the control total has been entered on the Totals tab and the proper conditions are met. |
586425 | Buyer’s Backlog | In the Ready for Purchase queue of the Buyers Backlog, the Transfer Purchase Order action has been modified so that the transfer of an RFQ line having no originating requisition line is a valid condition. Previously, the application would fail to respond when attempting to transfer an RFQ line with no requisition line to an existing purchase order. |
588359 | Work Order | The Work Order Issues screen has been updated such that the “Unissued Items” filter is automatically removed after an Issue action is performed. The removal of this filter allows the user to view the issue just performed, including any error that may have been encountered. |
596552 | Purchase Order | The Xrecp transaction for PO Receipts has been modified such that the transaction will fail and provide an informational message to the user if the employee ID used for the receipt does not exist or is inactive. This change provides consistency with logic already in place for other types of Stores Activity transactions, such as Issue and Return. |
622149 | Requisition | The Print option in the Requisition Search has been modified such that the button will not be disabled when multiple requisitions are selected in the search results. The button will remain enabled, allowing multiple requisitions to be printed at once. |
624265 | Setup | This modification corrects an issue in which a relationship could not be created between Equipment Serial Class and Equipment Serial Sub-class in Field Mapping Setup. |
625818 | Setup | Corrects an issue in which the Invoice Matching Setup Options would sometimes be visible under Setup > Setup Options for users with no security access to window actions in the Setup module.Following the correction, a user with no security access to Setup will not have the Setup module available from the left main menu. |
627197 | All | The Print Item Labels feature in the Inventory module has been updated so that the user’s default label printer will be automatically selected, if available. If no default is available for the user, the default cloud printer for the plant will be selected by default, when specified in Setup. |
627920 | Inventory; Requisition | In Inventory Returns, two issues related to the bin have been corrected. Prior to the correction, these issues would cause the Return button to be intermittently disabled for an item eligible for return, or would allow the return of the item only to the same bin from which it was originally issued. After the modifications, an item can be returned to any bin defined for the Stores Location. |
628034 | Work Order | The message log used to display Notifications for users and job functions has been updated to allow up to 40 characters for the user ID or job function to which the message is being sent. Previously, the limit was 15 characters, such that notifications could not be sent to job functions with names longer than 15 characters. |
629096 | PM | Task Management - PM Generation: When using Advanced Scheduling with a frequency time-frame of 0, no Requested Completion Date was assigned to PM work orders created via the PM Generation task. This logic has been modified to use the Next Execution Date as the Requested Completion Date in this scenario. |
629635 | Requisition | An Export button has been added to the tool ribbon on all module search screens where no Export button was previously available. Specifically, the button has been added to the following searches: Requisition Approve/Review, Requisition Cancel Approval, Manage Picklist, Cycle Count, ECatalog Errors Search, Voucher Error Search, Time Entry Search, and Document Search. |
630208 | Documents | Updated ADP Configuration documentation has been published to Aptean Connect. The updated document, dated August 2024, provides instructions for editing appsettings.json, including the option to encrypt passwords. |
630263 | Work Order | Task Manager - Print Work Order: This modification corrects an issue in which the Printer Name was not populated by default when modifying the task. |
631302 | Requisition | In the Requisition Approve/Review and Requisition Cancel Approval search screens, the criteria which guarantee that a requisition line is ready for review/approval or eligible for cancellation were being added to each query execution behind the scenes. In an effort to make these conditions more transparent to the user, these criteria have been moved directly to the Criteria tab in Query Setup for the queries in these modules. They will be available by default when creating new queries, but can be edited or removed in query setup; therefore, it will be possible for requisition lines not meeting the proper conditions to appear in the search results. However, any line not meeting the conditions for the selected action will not be processed, and an error message will display alerting the user to the failed condition. |
633188 | Data Loader | Task Management - Item Master Data Loader: As indicated in the instructions, all items loaded must have an item type that is defined as “permanent” in EAM Setup. However, the error message received when attempting to load an item type defined as “temporary” was incorrect, stating that the item type must be “permanent or temporary”. This error message has been updated to properly state that the item type must be permanent. |
634475 | Work Order | A new tool tip has been added to the Work Order, to explain that the District field is automatically populated with the value assigned to the Equipment specified on the work order (if any), and is always protected. |
635082 and 635449 | Scheduling | EAM Scheduling has been updated to accommodate European date formats (day/month/year). Prior to the update, any date entered in European format would convert to month/day/year format upon leaving the field. |
635181 | Work Order | The Work Order Comments text has been updated to honor the theme colors when the user has selected the Dark color theme in preferences. Prior to the update, the text color was always black, and therefore was not visible in dark mode. |
635769 | Portal | Tenant Portal - Manage Users: When creating a new user, the IDP User Identifier field must be unique. A new error message has been added when the uniqueness condition fails, indicating that the IDP User Identifier already exists for another user in the B2C tenant. |
637554 | Setup | In Edit Preferences, the Dark Mode toggle has been removed. Selection of the dark theme will now be accomplished by selecting “Dark” from the Color Theme drop-down. |
637628 | Requisition | The Create New Requisition screen has been updated to better accommodate the “Large” font size selection in Edit Preferences. Prior to the change, descending letters such as “g” were truncated at the bottom. |
